Origin of the group

Carmen Strauss and Marie-Thérèse Verry played for a long time together. They wanted to record their musics and asked Sylvain Piron, sound engineer and musician , to record them. The idea to produce CD comes then quite naturally and Marie-Thérèse and Carmen asked Sylvain to add some small tunes on his accordion.

Now the three musicians prepare concerts together.

Carmen STRAUSS

" Our formation is traditional, Marie-Thérèse and I studied piano and violin in the Academy of Strasbourg. But at the beginning of the Seventies, we discovered traditional music, in particular Celtic,  and that drove us in another direction " explains Carmen Strauss. A way which passes by research in collections of XIXe century and heard things here and there " which testifies to a strong oral tradition ".

Sylvain PIRON

He has been practising the accordion diatonic for 20 years, he is a sound engineer, and actor at his hours.
