Origin of the group
Carmen Strauss and Marie-Thérèse Verry played for a long time together. They wanted to record their musics and asked Sylvain Piron, sound engineer and musician , to record them. The idea to produce CD comes then quite naturally and Marie-Thérèse and Carmen asked Sylvain to add some small tunes on his accordion.
Now the three musicians prepare concerts together.

" Our formation is traditional, Marie-Thérèse and I studied piano and violin in the Academy of Strasbourg. But at the beginning of the Seventies, we discovered traditional music, in particular Celtic, and that drove us in another direction " explains Carmen Strauss. A way which passes by research in collections of XIXe century and heard things here and there " which testifies to a strong oral tradition ".

He has been practising the accordion diatonic for 20 years, he is a sound
engineer, and actor at his hours.
" Although the accordion is not a medieval instrument, it is treated in our
concerts as if it were, that means I use sound qualities of the instrument
more than his acoustic power "
